Pineapple Motifs

Easter Egg Coaster               
Worsted Weight yarn and an H sized hook. These measure 3" x 4.5".
I used a variegated yarn to create the colorful effects of a decorated egg.  You could use several solid color yarns and change color every other row, to create more defined stripes.

Ch 6. Connect to form circle.
Row 1: Ch 3.  Work 7 Dc into circle. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. (Ch 1, Dc in next st) 5 times.  Work Cluster St in last st, ignoring beg ch.  Turn.
Row 3: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st.  Ch 2, Sk 1st Ch1 Sp & 1st Dc.  (Sc next Ch1 Sp, Ch 3) 2 times. Sc in next Ch1 Sp, Ch 2, Work Cluster St in top of Cluster St from previous Row. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 1, (Work Puff st in Ch3 Loop, Ch 2) 3 Times. Work Cluster St in top of Cluster st from previous row. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 2. (Sc, Ch 3) in top of each Puff st.  Ch 2, work Cluster St in top of Cluster St from previous row. Turn.
Row 6: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 1. Work Puff St, Ch 2 in each Ch3 Loop.  Work Cluster St in top of Cluster St from previous row. Turn.
Row 7: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 2, Sc in top of 1st Puff st.  Ch 3, Sc in top of next Puff st.  Ch 2, work Cluster St in top of Cluster St from previous row.  Turn.
Row 8: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 1, work Puff St in Ch3 Loop. Ch 2, work Cluster St in top of Cluster St from previous row.  Turn.
Row 9:  Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st.  Dc in top of Puff St.  Work Cluster St in top of Cluster St from previous row.
End off and weave threads.

Raindrop Coaster
Worsted Weight yarn with an H sized hook. These measure a little over 3" x 6".

Ch 6. Connect to form circle.
Row 1: Ch 3.  Work 7 Dc into circle. Turn.
Row 2: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. (Ch 1, Dc in next st) 5 times.  Work Cluster St in last st, ignoring beg ch.  Turn.
Row 3: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Sk 1st Ch1 Sp & Dc,  (Ch 1, work Cluster St in Ch1 Sp.) 4 times. Work Cluster st in top of Cluster St from previous row.  Turn.
Row 4:  Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 2, (Sc, Ch 3) in top of each Cluster St. Ch 2,  Work Cluster st in top of Cluster St from previous row.  Turn.
Row 5: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 1, Work (Cluster St, Ch 1) in each Ch3 Loop. Ch 1, work Cluster st in top of Cluster St from previous row.  Turn.

Row 10: Ch 2, 1 Dc in 1st st. Ch 1, Work 1 Dc into of center Cluster St.  Ch1, work Cluster st in top of Cluster St from previous row. Turn.
Row 11: Ch 2.  (Yo, insert hk into next st, Yo, pull through, yo, pull through 2 loops) in next 3 sts.  Yo, pull through all loops on hook.  End off and weave threads.

Puff Stitch-
(Yo, insert hk into st, Yo pull through and up to same height as other sts.) 3 to 5 times. Yo, and pull through all loops on hook, Ch 1 to close Puff.
