Snowflakes  page 1
All examples were crocheted using Caron Christmas Glitter yarn in white with an H sized hook, to produce a snowflake that would photograph better.  However, an F or G Hook is suggested for snowflakes that stand up with only a light spray starch and a steam blocking.

Ch 4 and place thumb over those 4 chs. Work a Triple Picot St. (Ch 2, Dc into center ring. Ch 2, work Picot St.) 5-7 more times.

Snowflake Fridgies/Pins
The last 2 pictures on this page are snowflake patterns already listed here at Chez Crochet, but instead of worsted weight yarn, I used small cotton thread.
I used 2 strands of 30 weight thread, plus a third thread of metallic Lame, and an old Susan Bates 0 hook. I apologize; my thread crochet talents are not that great.  All of you Threadies (out there) can do a much better job than I can.
Plus, you can use any threads you choose.  I just wanted you to see how my snowflake patterns would look in Thread, instead of yarn.
