Stacked Hearts
Row 1: Ch 6, hold with thumb and forefinger. Ch 4, Sl st into 4th ch from hook. Ch 8. Turn.
Row 2: Dc into 3rd ch from hk. Ch 3. Work 3 Dc into center of Ch 4 loop. Ch 3. Work 1 Dc into each of last 2 chs. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 3. Dc into next st. Ch 2, sk 2 chs, Dc into next Ch and in the next 4 sts. Ch 2, sk 2 chs, Dc in last 2 sts. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 3. Dc into next st. Ch 2.  Sk chs.  Work 3Dctog across next 3 Dc. Ch 2, *Yo, insert hk into last st of previous 3Dctog. Yo, pull through; Yo pull through 2 loops. Repeat from * in next 2 sts.  Ch 2, Work 1 Dc into last 2 Dc of row.
Row 5: Ch 3. Dc into next st. Ch 3, Dc into center of  previous heart. Ch 3, Sl st in top of Dc. Ch 3, Work 1 Dc into last two Dc of previous row.
Row 6: Ch 3. Dc into next st. Ch 3. Work 3 Dc into center of Ch 3 loop. Ch 3. Work 1 Dc into each of last 2 chs. Turn.
Repeat Rows 3-6 for desired length.
Attach contrasting color, and work 3 Sc, Hdc, or Dc into each post down both sides.  At corner, Ch 2, and work 14 sts across end. Ch 2 and resume working 3 sts into each post down side.  Connect to beg chain of edging, end off and weave threads.

Victorian Fans
Row 1: Ch 4, hold with thumb and forefinger. Ch 3, sl st into third ch from hk. Ch 5. Turn
Row 2: Sc in 2nd st from hk. Work 8 Dc into Ch 3 ring, Sc in last st of Ch 4 tail. Turn.
Row 3: Ch 1, Sc into Sc of previous row. (Dc, Ch 1) into next 7 Dc. Dc into last Dc, Sc into last Sc of row. Turn.
Row 4: Ch 7. (Dc, Ch 3, Dc-V st completed) into center Ch 1 sp. Ch 3, Trc into last Sc of row. Turn.
Row 5: Ch 1, Sc into top of Trc. Work 8 Dc into center of V St, Sc into 4th ch. Turn.
Repeat Rows 3-5 for desired length.
Attach contrasting color and work Sc, Hdc, or Dc into post along sides. Average number will be 7 sts in the long posts, 1 st in the Sc spaces. At ends of strip, Ch 2 and work Sts in same space as side and continue down end of strip.  Average number of sts across end of strip is 11.

Frames and Open Fans
Ch 4, hold with thumb and forefinger. Ch 3, sl st in 3rd ch from hook. (Picot completed.) Ch 5. Turn.
Row 1: Sc in 2nd ch from hook. Ch 1. (Dc, Ch 3,) 3 times in center of Picot. Dc into Picot, Ch 1 Sc into last ch.
Row 2. Ch 4. 1 Trc into Sc of previous row. Ch 2 (Sc, Ch 2 Sc) into second/center Ch 3 sp. Ch 2, 2 Trc into last Sc of previous row.
Row 3: Ch 1, Sc in between Trc*s of previous row. Ch 1. (Dc, Ch 3) 3 times in center of Ch 2 sp. Dc in Ch 2 sp, Ch 1, Sc in between last Trc*s of previous row.
Repeat Rows 2 and 3 to complete pattern to desired length. End off. Weave Threads.
Attach contrasting Color at any Post (TRC or Ch 4) along a side. Ch 3, (serves as first Dc) 3 Dc on same Post. 4 Dc on every other post down side. Ch 2-3 at End and continue working 4 Dc on each Ch Sp of end. Ch 2-3 and continue working 4 Dc on each post of the side. Ch 2-3 at corner, and work 4 Dc on each ch sp of last end. Ch 2-3 and continue working 4 Dc on each post down side. Connect to beg ch of edging, end off and weave threads.
